“The Squid’s Eye” is mostly a subtle, character-driven film directed by the one and only Wes Anderson. The movie has a dreamlike quality that makes it very suspenseful. This can be an interesting movie that doesn’t try to be a musical technology, and it handles to be a thriller, redirected here funny, and episode at the same time.
The movie is about two heroes, an aging mail order bride and a forty something year old retired science fictional works writer. Your mailbox order star of the wedding has been married twice just before and is almost completely at ease with her lifestyle in the United States. It is actually this serene lifestyle that attracts an attractive young man from England, Adeel Chowdhry (Adrianmonde Francies), who works as a childcare professional and hails from Manhattan. The marriage is going easily until a nasty incident triggers Adeel in order to down emotionally and understand he wishes something even more in life. Wes Anderson has a way of capturing the heart of any character by putting him in places and situations in which he is somewhat insecure. This is what makes his films so great. His use of music is refined but memorable. He takes songs from a range of genres besides making them in shape well into his film.
